Dyrham Park

Client:  The National Trust

Restoration and repairs to Grade I Listed Mansion House.  Re-roofing of existing slate and lead roofs, timber roof repairs, masonry repairs, Orangery roof and wall repairs, lightning protection.  Also internal works to improve heating controls and provision of a new external Biomass boiler plant.

South Gloucestershire

Castle Drogo

Contract Value:  £7,500,000
Client:  The National Trust

Grade I Listed Castle.  External repairs to the roof and external walls comprising removal of original asphalt covering, repair of the concrete substrate and re-covering with a Bauder membrane and granite slabs.  Internal works to improve heating controls, fire precautions etc.

Drewsteignton, Devon

China Tower

Contract Value:  £250,000
Client:  Clinton Devon Estates

This castellated folly was built in 1839 by Lady Louisa Rolle.  The tower has been converted into holiday accommodation to be run by the Landmark Trust.  Central heating runs off renewable energy, captured by air source heat pumps and water is provided by a bore hole.

Bicton, Devon

Temple Precinct

Contract Value:  £504,000
Client:  Bath & North East Somerset Council Heritage Services

Provision of new suspended walkways over the existing Roman archaeology to replace the existing ground bearing walkways.  Also provision of step-free access to the area utilising a new platform lift. Temple Precinct is an area within the Roman Baths Complex, a Scheduled Ancient Monument.


Dyffryn House

Contract Value: £950,000
Client: Vale of Glamorgan Council

The Gardens of Dyffryn House are currently open to the public and Glamorgan Council are now seeking to repair and conserve the interior of Dyffryn House.  Works to enable reuse of the interior will be assisted by Heritage Lottery Funding.

Tyntesfield Mansion House, Stables & Gardens

Restoration and repairs of Grade I Listed Mansion including re-roofing, repairs and restoration of existing masonry, structural repairs, window & door restorations, re-wiring, re-piping, internal fire upgrading, internal fabric repairs and restoration.

Alteration, restoration and conversion of Grade II Listed Stable Block into bedsit accommodation units for staff and volunteers.

Landscaping works comprising altering, upgrading and extending the existing car park to form new tarmac parking areas, new granular parking areas and a grassed overflow parking area, together with new pedestrian footpaths.

Alteration and conversion of existing Home Farm buildings to form new Visitior Facilities including new straw bale construction reception and ticket office building, new kitchen, cafe, shop, toilets, staff area and offices.

Bridport Town Hall

Client: Bridport Town Council

Repairs and upgrade work to Grade I Listed 18th Century Town Hall building involving change of use from public lavatories to provide community/exhibition space.  This project will be partly funded by Heritage Lottery Funding.

Chedworth Roman Villa

Enabling works to Scheduled Ancient Monument.
Phase 1 - Provision of new foul and surface water drainage.
Phase 2 - Removal of existing shelter buildings and provision of new timber framed shelter building for mosaics etc and provision of new education centre.  Refurbishment of existing reception/entrance building.
RIBA South West & Wessex Award 2013.  RIBA National Award 2013.

Prior Park College

Contract Value: £5,800,000

Client: Prior Park College Trustees

Rebuilding, conservation and repair of Grade II Listed Mansion building, following major damage by fire (two RICS Conservation Awards).  Alterations, extensions and refurbishments to existing swimming pool and changing rooms to provide new changing areas, refurbished pool area, new roof coverings, new fire escape.


The Guildhall

Contract Value: £500,000
Client: Saltash Town Council

Complete refurbishment of existing Grade II Listed building in the centre of Saltash.  Re-roofing using natural slates, new lift, staircase, kitchen facilities and toilet facilities.  Installation of new second floor meeting room.  Internal and external redecorations including repair and renewal of fibrous decoration plaster ceiling and mouldings.

Saltash, Cornwall

St. Mawes Castle

Contract Value: £52,000

Client: English Heritage SW Region

Safety improvements around Castle including replacement of sea wall safety barriers, infilling between existing barriers to bastions, new handrails to steps, repairs to ticket office, sea walls and steps to beach.  Repairs to sewage outfall, cover and ladder to underground magazine.  Widening of car park entrance.


St. Georges Concert Hall

Alterations and refurbishments to Grade II* Listed Concert Hall (former Church building).  Re-roofing, masonry repairs, reordering internal spaces including new stage area, new flooring, M&E installations, redecoration and theatre lighting, external works and drainage.


The Temple

Contract Value: £332,000
Client: The Mells Park Trust

Rebuilding and restoration of former Grade II Listed Temple to form new Estate Offices.  Works comprised restoration of the flow stone walls, ashlar portico and lead roofs.

Mells Park

Serpentine Lake, Cascade & Cabinet

Contract Value: £550,000
Client:  The National Trust

Reinstatement of Serpentine Lake Cascade & Cabinet, The Wilderness, Prior Park - Listed Grade I in the English Heritage Park & Garden Register.  Works included temporary diversion of spring water, liner, lake walls and divert drainage, counterfort drainage, formation of new paths and landscaping.

Pendennis Castle & Barack Block

Contract Value: £1,475,000
(Total Four Phases)
Client: English Heritage SW Region

Provision of new fire hydrant water main around Castle and new water storage tank.
New paths and steps around grounds.
Stripping out building following vacation by Youth Hostel.  Complete refurbishment of 1902 Barrack Block.


Tintagel Castle

Contract Value: £560,000

Client: English Heritage SW Region

Reconstruction of access steps down to beach and rock anchor stabilisation works.  Removal of existing concrete bridge over drop to beach and replacement with new timber bridge.  Extension to Visitors Centre and refurbishment of shop.


Sker House

Contract Value: £900,000
Client: Buildings at Risk Trust

Restoration of Grade I Listed building - one of Wales' most important historical buildings from the Tudor Period.  Restoration comprised complete reconstruction of parts of the building and refurbishment of remaining areas whilst preserving original features such as plaster friezes and cornices.
